Honestly, I was totally anti both as an adult—reminding me too much of middle school—until this month, when I finally caved and picked up a pair of each to have on hand for winter errands and lounging at home. Every year around this time, I catch myself daydreaming about escaping the winter in New York and moving to L.A.: walking a dog I don’t have yet, in yoga pants and Uggs, sunglasses on, enjoying the mild weather and sunshine.
