Amanda Seyfried Skips Heels for White Sneakers at the Venice Film Festival 2025
Amanda Seyfried made the case for the humble white sneaker at the Venice Film Festival 2025, stepping out in a minimal style from Cariuma.
On Saturday, the “Mean Girls” alum was spotted arriving at the Hotel Excelsior Venice, where she skipped heels in favor of feel-good kicks. She opted for the brand’s lace-up leather sneakers, which are as classic as they come. Crafted from LWG-certified premium pebbled leather, the $159 silhouette boasts a slip-resistant rubber sole, as well as a cork and bio-based foam insole for added comfort. They appear to have a subtle platform silhouette, giving the actress a little lift. The sustainable sneaker brand’s moniker is emblazoned on the sides in small letters, making the shoes instantly recognizable. Cariuma’s signature bright green logo is stamped on the back, offering a tiny splash of color to the white sneakers.

Seyfried kept the comfort-first theme going through her outfit, opting for a blush pink ribbed button-up top and matching hot pants. However, a coordinating oversized blazer, which looks to have shoulder pads, dressed up the casual look. Seyfried accessorized the ensemble with Max Mara cat-eye sunglasses, a spacious black leather duffle bag and simple silver hoop earrings, as shown by photos of the actress stepping off a water taxi.

For her second appearance at the festival on Saturday, Seyfried switched out of her blush pink look, but kept on the same Cariuma white sneakers. She zhuzhed up the shoes with a frilly white puff-sleeve blouse from celebrity-favorite label Dôen and understated black short shorts.

These white sneakers are a slight departure from her recent footwear moments, which have included many polished pumps. At the “I Don’t Understand You” premiere earlier this summer, Seyfried hit the red carpet in pointy black suede heels, while her outfit at the NBCU Emmy kick-off luncheon in the spring featured Chloé’s jelly wedges from the fashion house’s spring 2025 collection.
