For the cover of the May 26, 2025, issue, the artist Barry Blitt chose to depict President Donald J. Trump’s enthusiasm for any way that he and his family can profit from his position as a head of state. His recent eager acceptance of a “free, very expensive airplane” (in Trump’s words) from Qatar—a country not usually considered an ally of the United States—has caused much consternation on both sides of the aisle.
