Before 'Terrifier 4,' Art the Clown Makes a Festive Comeback With New Spirit Halloween Animatronic
Terrifier 3took the horror world by storm when it was released last fall. The blood-soaked unrated slasher sequel from director Damien Leone had the extra novelty of being a Christmas movie. That allowed the famous killer Art the Clown do his best Santa Claus cosplay as he ruined the holiday season for everyone. Now, ahead of Terrifier 4, Santa Art has returned with a scary new animatronic from Spirit Halloween.
A part of the popular Halloween retailers’ franchise animatronic line, this Art the Clown stands at a menacing 6 feet 3 inches tall and comes armed with a deadly axe –just like the traumatizing opening scene of Terrifier 3. Art’s Santa suit is also covered in blood, especially where his “jolly” beard is concerned. His arms wave back and forth and includes audio from the third film. One of the examples is the original song “It's a Terrifier Christmas.” If that wasn't enough, this slasher villain comes with his vintage Christmas tree sunglasses as well. The total scream-worthy package will be $269.99 USD.
It’s the Most Terrifying Time of the Year
Over the last year, Art the Clown has become a modern horror icon. This is thanks to Terrifier 2 and 3’s high quality, but it also has to do with the merchandise. Art has been featured on t-shirts (mostly sold at Spirit Halloween), has his own ever-growing Funko Pop collection, and has been given a torturous garbage bag full of action figures. Companies like NECA, Trick or Treat Studios, and Mezco Toyz have been pulling out all the stops for this blood-gushing indie darling.
As for what Terrifier 4 will be about, there's still a lot of mystery in the final part of this slasher franchise. What we do know is that Leone will finally be giving horror fans Art's crazed backstory and the killer will be human once again for the last installment. The writer-director is currently working on the screenplay for Terrifier 4.
When Does ‘Terrifier 4’ Release?
Terrifier 4 doesn't have a release date yet, but you can currently stream Terrifier and Terrifier 2 on Tubi for free. You can also stream Terrifier 3 on ScreamBox. All three films are available on Blu-ray as well. Before your next trip to the ill-fated Miles County, you can preview Santa Art's new Terrifier 3 animatronic on Spirit Halloween’s website. It's currently sold out, but it should be in stores once Spirit opens its physical locations around the country in August.
