Brigitte Macron Brings Modern Flair to Louis Vuitton Fashion Show Front Row

Brigitte Macron brought her signature modern approach to high-fashion moments in the front row at Louis Vuitton‘s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection show on Tuesday during Paris Fashion Week.

France’s first lady gave power suiting moments an edgy spin with her take on metallic silver hardware and more. Macron, seated with Canadian concert pianist Hélène Mercier-Arnault, wore a dark jacket with long sleeves and zip-up detailing at the front, which coordinated with her tapered trousers.

Standout elements of Macron’s jacket were unquestionably the metallic silver geometric pieces running down the front placket and emphasizing the zip-up front. The triangular shapes added sharp angles and sartorial tension to the overall look, with each silver piece featuring a flat metallic sheen or slight shimmering design.

Beneath her statement jacket, Macron wore a black blouse to further augment the color motif of her front row attire. As for accessories, Macron wore a few statement cocktail rings, adding further texture to her overall look. She carried a small metallic bag, too.

As France’s first lady, Macron has worn several pieces by Louis Vuitton for high-profile tours. During French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife’s trip to the U.K., the first lady wore a custom royal blue cape gown by the French luxury fashion house. Kate Middleton wore a red gown by Givenchy, while Queen Camilla opted for a white Fiona Clare dress — all three wore colors featured in the French flag and Union Jack for a show of unity.

Curated by artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection saw the designer embrace snug silhouettes and comfort. “What a treat to see a designer synonymous with sci-fi futurism and architectural silhouettes apply himself to cozier fashion territory: coats with teddy-bear textures and bathrobe shapes; fuzzy knit sweaters and drop-crotch shorts, and dresses as simple as togas, or swags of gorgeous fabric,” Miles Socha wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

Socha noted that Ghesquière “didn’t abandon his zeal for experimentation, creating a camel coat in the guise of a romper — an offbeat garment that recurred frequently — and scattering handfuls of jewels over a sleeveless robe that resembled mink but was in fact brushed silk, reprising an ancient technique.”
