Brooks Nader Brings Y2K Style to the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in Thong Sandals
Brooks Nader went with a retro look for her outing over the weekend, opting for a Y2K-inspired silhouette with her heeled thong sandals as she hit the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on Saturday. The model and “Love Thy Nader” star joined a slew of notable stars like Beyoncé Knowles, Cynthia Erivo and Naomi Campbell at the event.

For the racing event, Nader slipped into a summery pair of heels. Her black patent leather thong heels featured a thin stiletto heel, giving her at least a 4-inch boost. The shoes also featured a counter in the back, giving the heel of the foot grounding and offering extra support.

A hit in the 1990s and early 2000s, thong sandals have become a popular style yet again recently as Y2K style has been skyrocketing. The silhouette started moving back into the mainstream thanks to the spring 2024 runways. They were seen at shows like Chanel, Jacquemus and Miu Miu. Since then, nearly every label, including designer and contemporary, has offered their take on the style. Other celebrities like Tate McRae and Kaia Gerber have been seen in the sandals lately.

The rest of the reality TV star’s outfit also had a very early 2000s feel to it. She added black capri pants, another staple of the decade. She paired the pants with a black camisole tank top and added a cropped leather jacket over top. Her jacket featured blue, white and black leather, adding a moto touch to the ensemble. Nader accessorized with black sunglasses and an oversize cross necklace.
