‘Corpse Bride’ to Get A New Steelbook: Here’s How to Preorder the Limited-Edition Release Online

Released in Sept. 2005, “Corpse Bride” was the second of two films Tim Burton released in the same year (the first was “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”). And now, for its 20th anniversary, the stop-motion animated film is getting a 4K Ultra HD digital restoration for a new limited-edition home video release.

Available for preorder for $43.99 (reg. $54.99), “Corpse Bride” drops on Steelbook at Movies Unlimited. The release comes out on Tuesday, Sept. 23 (which is actually the original theatrical release date of the movie in 2005). But, you can preorder it right now and the retailer will send you a notification once it’s ready to ship.

The 4K Steelbook release comes with a digital copy of the movie for the Movies Anywhere app, as well as a number of bonus features, including a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Corpse Bride,” interviews with directors and cast, production galleries and much more.

In addition, “Corpse Bride” is available for preorder on Amazon, Walmart and Target.

Directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson, “Corpse Bride” is set in a 19th century European village and follows Victor Van Dort (voiced by Johnny Depp), a shy young man who practices proposing to his soon-to-be-fiancée Victoria Everglot (Emily Watson) with the corpse of Emily (Helena Bonham Carter), a young woman who recently passed away. However, when Emily comes alive, she believes Victor wants to marry her instead.

The animated film has a voice cast also featuring Tracey Ullman, Paul Whitehouse, Joanna Lumley, Albert Finney, Richard E. Grant, Christopher Lee, Michael Gough, Jane Horrocks, Danny Elfman and others.
