Cynthia Erivo Holds Court in Schiaparelli Gown and 3D Floral Nail Art at Tony Awards 2025
Host of the 2025 Tony Awards, Cynthia Erivo arrived on Broadway’s most prestigious red carpet on Sunday in a champagne-colored gown featuring a heavily beaded off-the-shoulder bodice made of sheer fabric and decorated with intricate crystal and silver embellishments in floral or circular patterns. Styled by Jason Bolden, her dress came straight from Schiaparelli’s spring 2025 couture runway.

The Schiaparelli spring 2025 couture collection, created by Daniel Roseberry, featured a color scheme “inspired by a visit to an antique shop with an inventory of ribbons from the 1920s and ‘30s,” WWD’s Joelle Diderich wrote in January, with many dresses in shades of dusty nudes, faded greens and burnt saffron browns, like the one wore champagne gown worn by Erivo at the award show.

Erivo completed her look with statement diamond earrings and a matching choker necklace. She also served drama with her nail art, created by Shea Osei. The nails featured coffin-shaped extensions with 3D floral embellishments, including small purple and white flowers.

In the spotlight since starring in the film adaptation of “Wicked” alongside Ariana Grande in 2024, Erivo was invited to host the Tony Awards due to her deep ties to the Broadway community. Erivo won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her powerful performance as Celie in the Broadway revival of “The Color Purple.”

The 78th Annual Tony Awards, Broadway’s most prestigious honors, took place on Sunday at New York City’s iconic Radio City Music Hall. Hosted by Tony and Emmy Award winner Cynthia Erivo, the ceremony recognized outstanding achievements in Broadway productions from the 2024–25 season.
