Cynthia Erivo Reaches New Heights in Platform Boots During Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Performance
Cynthia Erivo got a serious boost during her Thanksgiving Day performance.
On Thursday morning, the actress hit the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. She opened the iconic parade with a rendition of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good.”

For her performance, the “Harriet” star donned platform boots. Her bronze boots were completely adorned in gold and bronze crystals, adding a sparkly effect with every step. The shoes also featured a thick platform base that added at least 2 extra inches to the overall height, plus a thin stiletto heel that reached at least 6 inches.
Erivo tends to reach for platform shoes frequently. The towering heels give the 5’1″ star a little extra height without sacrificing comfort. Earlier this month, she appeared on “The View” wearing a platform boot from Christian Louboutin’s ballet-inspired Cassia line.

Erivo paired the glittering boots with a cozy red fur coat for her Thanksgiving Day look. The floor length jacket added more drama to her overall outfit, and she added a matching crimson leather belt over the jacket to add shape and dimension. Erivo added a red turtleneck under her coat, and accessorized with a matching hat and lots of jewelry, including earrings, a necklace, and several rings.
The performance comes just days after the highly anticipated “Wicked: For Good” was released. Erivo stars in the film, which is the sequel to the first musical movie that came out a year prior. Besides Erivo, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, and Jeff Goldblum star in the two films.
