DedCool and Calpak's New Boarding Bundle Essentials Kit
DedCool and Calpak are preparing for a busy travel season ahead with a limited-edition, TSA-approved essentials kit.
Out Tuesday, the Boarding Bundle, priced at $120, offers a tri-scent collection of the functional fragrance brand’s hero products, packed inside Calpak’s bestselling cosmetics case. The products include a travel spray, body wash and body lotion in DedCool’s Xtra Milk, air fresheners in Taunt and Mochi Milk and an exclusive sticker sheet to customize the orange-hued pouch. More than 1,000 eager customers have already joined the waitlist for this special-edition launch, according to DedCool.

This partnership comes a few weeks after DedCool, best known for its detergent line, released incense in all three cult-favorite scents. A soft yet dynamic aroma, Taunt boasts notes of bergamot, vanilla and amber. Meanwhile, Xtra Milk combines amber, bergamot and white musk. Mochi Milk is perhaps the most edible of the three, bolstered by hints of marshmallow, vanilla bean and sweet rice milk.

The collaboration also follows Sandbridge Capital’s decision to increase its stake in DedCool, founded by Carina Chaz in 2016. The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed at the time of the investor’s April announcement; however, industry experts predicted the brand would generate between $25 million and $30 million in net sales in 2025.
On the inspiration for DedCool, Chaz previously told WWD: “For us, the importance was to reshape the scent experience. We want to allow consumers to build off of their individuality with our scent ranges and create these self expressions through daily touchpoints.”

Both Calpak and DedCool have managed to pick up on the forthcoming needs of their customers, keeping a close eye on TikTok-viral trends and online conversations. An example of this is the launch of Calpak’s Fit Collection last year, which debuted a bespoke gym bag designed with special compartments for shoes, a phone, a water bottle and a yoga mat. The collection drop was inspired by a proliferation of customers making a gym carrier out of the Calpak Luka Duffel.
