Elizabeth Hurley’s Minimalist Gold Sandals Elevate Her Red-hot Look at ‘The Inheritance’ Photo Call
Elizabeth Hurley displayed a minimalist metallic footwear look at a photo call for “The Inheritance” in London on Wednesday with a pair of strappy gold sandals accenting a bright red dress.

The actress went for the barely-there high heel look, a formal trend which adopts the less-is-more attitude. Her set of sandals featured a standard minimalist design with a slender horizontal toe strap and another slim strap encircling the ankle; an enclosure covered the heel in back. In addition to a rounded toe slightly elevated by a modest platform, the shoes included a tall stiletto heel, elevating Hurley’s look.
The shoes were done in a subdued gold, aligning with the ongoing prevalence of metallic finishes in dress shoes. The style proved quite popular at the 2025 ESPYs in July, with attendees like Alison Brie, Suni Lee and Chiney Ogwumike going for the shiny heels aesthetic. Whether more toned down in luster or crafted with a super high-shine mirror-like finish, metallic shoes offer an air of formality or celebration to an ensemble while the typical silver, gold or bronze colorways can blend with a range of color palettes.

Hurley recently embraced the gold look with a pair of platform Valentino Garavani sandals when she attended the Royal Academy of Dance’s fundraising event in London in June.
At Wednesday’s photo call, Hurley’s footwear accompanied a bold red fitted midi dress featuring ruched fabric that draped at the skirt. The design also included long sleeves and a cutout at the chest with a twisted neckline.

Hurley stars as “The Deceased” in the Channel 4 reality show “The Inheritance”; the series follows a group of contestants competing for her fortune.
