Harrods Links With Rolex on Space for Pre-owned Watches Online and at the Knightsbridge Store

SECOND TIME AROUND: As Harrods expands and refurbishes its fine jewelry and watch rooms, it is also forging closer ties with the top brands on the shop floor, including Rolex.

For the first time it will become a Rolex certified pre-owned official retailer, offering clients the chance to acquire pre-owned watches certified as authentic by the Swiss brand and accompanied by a new, two-year international guarantee.

The area will be located in a central space within the fine watches department, and showcase a mix of classics and rare styles. Each watch will have been fully authenticated, serviced and prepared according to Rolex’s criteria.

Certified pre-owned Rolex watches are at least two years old and have been examined by the brand’s own experts to verify their authenticity and confirm their original configuration. They are accompanied by a special seal and guarantee card, both exclusive to the program.

Beth Hannaway, director of fine watches and high jewelry at Harrods, said the store has long been a destination for watch collectors. “With the arrival of the Rolex certified pre-owned program, we are proud to offer our clients a curated selection of extraordinary timepieces – from the rare to the truly iconic. This new chapter further strengthens our enduring relationship with the brand.”

Certified pre-owned Rolex watches will also be available online on Harrods.com.

In July, Harrods announced the redevelopment and expansion of its fine jewelry and watch departments via a multimillion-pound investment to redevelop the ground and lower ground floors at the Knightsbridge store.

The multi-year plan is aimed at transforming the customer experience, with plans to introduce a first-of-its-kind vertical two-story boutique concept and Europe’s first curved escalators as an architectural feature. Construction is set to begin in 2026, and the store said the work will take “a number of years” to complete.
