This may be perplexing for some fans, especially considering that Hulk Hogan is arguably the most popular professional wrestler of all time. But the more stories that come out about Hogan and the more controversy he stirs, the less popular he becomes.
Many fans online point to the fact that Hogan had explicitly endorsed Donald Trump and was seen at multiple rallies for the former and future president and this event was in Los Angeles, a famously liberal city.
However, looking at the rest of the evening, this clearly isn't the case.

Undertaker is another pro wrestler who endorsed President Trump and even had him as a guest on his podcast alongside Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane.
At this point, it's clear that the crowd's issue with Hogan wasn't political. It just seems that decades of goodwill and iconic status have come to an end.
