I’m a Senior Shopping Editor—5 Basics I'm Not Wearing Anymore and 5 I Love That Are Part of Amazon's Latest Prime Day Sales

Lately, I have been taking inventory of my closet, especially of my collection of basics to check what might need an update. Basics are the backbone of my outfit rotations, so they are always top of mind. At the beginning of a new season, or at least in anticipation of one, I decide what pieces it is time to store (or even sell and donate) and then I make room for fresh additions with focus on what is currently trending. With the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days now in full swing until tomorrow October 8, I am taking advantage of all the great fashion sales and updating the basics in question.

For this closet clean-out, I plan on incorporating new of-the-moment basics to elevate my fall outfits and beyond.
