Jennifer Lawrence Leans Into Sleek Monochrome Minimalism With Giuseppe Zanotti Sandals at the Gotham Awards

Jennifer Lawrence brought a clean, black palette to the 35th Gotham Film Awards in New York on Monday evening, punctuating her look in Giuseppe Zanotti’s pointed Intriigo Strap Sandals.

Her sandals — a black patent take on the open-toe Intriigo silhouette — featured the line’s narrow forefoot strap and a slim ankle strap finished with a small silver buckle. She incorporated a few personal accents: a stack of thin ankle bracelets in mixed metal tones on one leg and matching band toe rings on each middle toe.

The 105mm stiletto heel kept the profile sharp, with the glossy finish mirroring the patent iterations in red, metallic gold and white currently available from the brand. The sandal, which retails for $895, is part of a broader Intriigo family that includes metallic, suede and knot-front mules and sandals.

The “Die My Love” star paired the sleek sandals with a custom black Dior skirt suit, complete with a fitted, four-button jacket. The jacket featured a notched collar, long sleeves and a close cut through the waist. Her draped wrap skirt opened into a high slit on the left side, revealing a long, narrow asymmetric train that fell from the hip to the floor.

She finished the outfit with a black pouch from Dior’s spring 2026 collection, Vram’s Chrona Totem earrings and rings from YI Collection and Alison Lou. Straight hair and understated makeup kept the focus on the structure of the look and the sharp line of the sandal.

The appearance adds another pointed style to Lawrence’s busy fall streak. Earlier this month, she wore Mansur Gavriel’s Kiki pumps — known for their super-sharp toe and curved heel — during a SAG-AFTRA Foundation event in New York. She also recently stepped out in Khaite’s Sloan pumps, a pointed silhouette with a gold buckle strap designed to lengthen the ankle line. And at the San Sebastian Film Festival in September, she opted for Phoebe Philo’s Sock Pump, a suede-and-knit hybrid that created a boot-like effect.

Zanotti’s Intriigo series has been a steady presence on carpets this season, too. Last month, Anya Taylor-Joy wore the Knot mule version at Tiffany & Co.’s holiday event, while Taraji P. Henson chose the metallic Clio style at a wellness summit in October. Lawrence’s patent take joined the lineup at Cipriani Wall Street, where the Gotham Awards opened awards season with wins for “One Battle After Another,” “It Was Just an Accident” and awards for standout performances from Sopé Dìrísù and Wunmi Mosaku.
