Joe Henley’s ‘The Voice’ Rehearsal Has His Fellow Contestants “Packing Their Bags”

  • Country singer Joe Henley is popular among The Voice voters this season.
  • Even the hopeful’s fellow contestants admit how great he is.
  • A new video posted by Lillie Kolich shows that they’re all in good spirits.

When television cameras aren’t rolling, The Voice contestants are hard at work rehearsing ... after they film their TikTok videos, of course.

Country crooner Joe Henley is a favorite to win Season 30, and he and his fellow hopefuls embrace that reality in a funny new video they collaborated on for social media.

We see Joe “rehearsing” for next week’s episode by pretending to sing into a water bottle, then watch on zoom-speed as Team Queen Latifah’s Lillie Kolich and Team Kelly Clarkson’s Anna McElroy pack their bags, walk out of their hotel, and head home after realizing what they’re up against.

“Us after hearing Joe Henley rehearse his next song on The Voice,” Lillie writes over the clip, which is co-signed by Anna. The spooky music playing over the action only adds to the hilarity.

“It’s been fun,” the caption reads.

It’s all in jest, of course. While Joe is quite popular among reality television viewers and the coaches, this season’s winner is still a mystery. The grand reveal will happen during The Voice season finale on Dec. 14.

This week was the series’ first-ever Cut Week, and it was cutthroat, with half of the contestants sent home in the end. Joe coasted through with a cover of Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes” that quite literally brought the coaches—all four!—to their feet in a standing ovation.

He’s clearly a fan of the classics, as he auditioned with Travis Tritt’s “Anymore” and cites George Strait and Don Williams as influences. With their shared interest in country music as bait, Riley Green lured Joe onto his team during the Blind Auditions. It’s the “Worst Way” singer’s first season in the big red chair, and he’s teed up to win this thing, especially if Joe’s popularity holds steady.

Kelly even admitted she’ll be “mind-blown” if the 19-year-old Alabama native doesn’t make it all the way to the finale.
