Kate Hudson celebrated her new Netflix comedy “Running Point” on Thursday at the series premiere in Los Angeles. The actress stars as Isla Gordon, an executive who is appointed to head her family business, which is one of the most famous basketball franchises in the US. With Mindy Kaling as an executive producer, the project launches on Feb. 27.

For the premiere, Hudson glimmered on the red carpet. She wore a Roberto Cavalli couture gown designed by Fausto Puglisi. The look is made of satin in a champagne hue. A halter style, the dress features a plunging square neckline as well as chest cutouts. It also includes two thigh-high slits, one for each leg. The design fanned out behind her with an elaborate train. All together, the strategic head-to-toe skin exposures, along with a train the spilled across the red carpet and soaring Jimmy Choo Max platform heels created a flattering, hight-boosting illusion of extra length.

Hudson stuck to an easy glamour with her blond hair straight and pushed back behind her ears. For makeup, she kept things champagne covered with a shimmering eye shadow.

Hudson has been working with stylist Marc Eram. Eram recently put the actress in a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello draped gown with ruched detailing at the Producers Guild Awards. The night before that, she wore a black Thom Browne gown featuring a mermaid silhouette and pronounced hips, to the Critics Choice Awards.

The star was recently unveiled as the first global celebrity ambassador for Joico. “I have this thing where if I’m ever working with a company, I have to have some real connection to it,” Hudson said in the announcement. “Their tag line is ‘Since Forever’ and when I first saw it I was like, ‘I’ve literally been using K-Pak since forever.’ It’s really nice to be working with a company that I really love.”
