Kate Middleton bundled up in her Catherine Walker coat to ring in the holiday season at Westminster Abbey in London on Friday, where the Princess of Wales joined famous faces for her annual “Together at Christmas” carol service.

For the festive event, which will be broadcast on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, on ITV1 and ITVX in the United Kingdom, Middleton wore a formfitting, long-sleeve forest green coat by Catherine Walker’s eponymous label. The coat featured sharp shoulders and a double-breasted silhouette with waistline pockets.

The collar of Middleton’s Catherine Walker coat was adorned with a faux fur lapel in the same shade of forest green by Troy, a London-based brand specializing in outdoor apparel. The Princess of Wales completed her winter ensemble with black suede boots by Ralph Lauren. As with so many of her fashion choices for public events, Middleton’s Catherine Walker coat was a rewear — she previously wore the look in December 2020.

As for accessories, Middleton wore star stud drop earrings by the London-based jewelry brand Robinson Pelham, adding a touch of sparkle to her holiday-inspired attire. Inside Westminster Abbey, the British royal family member greeted actors Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Middleton began hosting her “Together at Christmas” carol service in 2021, as a way to honor doctors, nurses and frontline workers during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tradition has carried on since then, and with each service, the British royal styles attire evocative of the holiday season.

For the 2024 edition of the event, Middleton turned to one of her longtime favorite design houses. She wore a red coat from McQueen, which included a large black bow at the collar.

The “Together at Christmas” carol service is led by the Princess of Wales with support from The Royal Foundation. Along with serving as a celebration for the holiday season, the service highlights individuals from across the United Kingdom who have demonstrated extraordinary kindness, empathy and support within their communities.
