Kyle Richards Explores Aspen in Olive Green Lug Sole Chelsea Boots
Kyle Richards left behind the sunshine of Los Angeles for a wintry escape to Aspen this holiday season. On Tuesday, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was seen strolling around the ski town in a pair of olive green lug sole Chelsea boots.
The shoes were a sound choice for Colorado, as they featured a thick platform sole and a low chunky heel ideal for snowy weather. Meanwhile, a rounded toe was detailed with ruched leather across the front. The olive-and-black palette lent the shoes a distinctly utilitarian edge.
With deep, chunky grooves (aka “lugs”), lug-sole boots are a popular winter footwear option because they provide much more grip than smooth or leather soles. Additionally, because most styles are made from dense rubber or thermoplastic, they repel water and don’t absorb moisture.

Richards kept the color theme going with slouchy camouflage trousers, which she styled with a black-and-silver belt. On top, she layered a black zip-up jacket over a forest-green turtleneck. Richards gave the look a Western spin by way of a felt cowboy hat featuring a beaded hatband. Oversized sunglasses and large silver hoops rounded out her outfit.
Richards was pictured wearing the same boots over the weekend, but with a far more festive look. For an afternoon of shopping, she wore a red sweater with a white reindeer print under a patterned puffer coat from Polo Ralph Lauren x Tópa. Richards grounded the bold outfit with straight-leg jeans.

It seems the reality star’s whole family is spending the holidays in Aspen, as she was seen with estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, and the couple’s three daughters, Alexia, Sophia and Portia. Richards’ eldest daughter, Farrah Aldujufrie, from her first marriage, also joined them.
