Lana Del Rey Captures Valentino’s Tender Turn in Ivory Bowow Slingback Pumps at Paris Fashion Week
Lana Del Rey arrived at the Valentino spring 2026 show in Paris on Sunday in a look that matched the collection’s softened romanticism, wearing the house’s new Bowow slingback pumps in a soft ivory.

The pointed-toe heels featured an oversized bow at the vamp, a slender cross-strap and an 85 mm heel capped with the brand’s antique brass-effect VLogo. The shoes’ construction balanced delicacy and structure — a sharp silhouette softened by their sculpted bow and muted ivory tone. Inside, a custom floral insole nodded to Alessandro Michele’s early design codes for the house.

Their clean proportions and softened edges echoed what WWD’s Joelle Diderich described as Michele’s move to “put the focus back on the clothes.” That return to purity of form was evident in each element of Del Rey’s look, from the subdued finish of the heel’s antique brass hardware to the controlled bow placement at the vamp. The shoes’ floral insole added a subtle romantic detail consistent with the house’s heritage craftsmanship.

Del Rey paired the pumps with a draped lilac gown from Valentino’s resort 2026 line, layered with a tweed coat trimmed in faux fur and finished. She accessorized with a linen beaded clutch and Cartier Baignoire watch. The ensemble mirrored the new direction Michele outlined in his show: light, beauty and restraint replacing maximalism.
The “West Coast” singer isn’t the only celebrity favoring slingbacks with bow detailing. Hers leaned soft, but the shape can turn sculptural — as Willow Smith proved at Dior earlier in the week in orange satin slingbacks with an exaggerated bow and angled heel. Jessica Alba took a more classic route at the U.S. Open, wearing ruched Manolo Blahniks tied with back bows.
