Monica Barbaro Adds Bling to Mule Trend on the ‘One Night Only’ Set in New York
Monica Barbaro is gearing up to enter the rom-com world alongside Callum Turner. The pair are set to star in “One Night Only,” and filming for the Will Gluck-directed flick is underway in New York. Fans are getting glimpses of the actress’ wardrobe for the film, including some eye-grabbing sparkly mules, before it hits theaters next August.

The rom-com film’s script follows two strangers who scramble to find someone to sleep with on the one night of the year when premarital sex is legal. Barbaro and Turner were spotted filming a scene in front of a stoop in New York City on Friday, and she was wearing a club-inspired ensemble.
Her look consisted of a mini dress made from a shiny gray, sequin-embellished fabric, halterneck styling, and boasted a plunging neckline that went down to her navel. While minimalist mules are trending, the actress paired the dress with a pair of rhinestone-embellished mules. Four crystal-decorated straps come together in the center to create a high-shine knotted detail on the upper.

The rest of the sandals are made from a metallic silver material with a black sole, and her light pink pedicure provided a dainty contrast to the glamorous shoe. The shoes featured an almond-toe silhouette and sat atop a stiletto heel measuring around five inches. She matched the heels with a silver, rhinestone-embellished evening clutch bag with a wristlet handle.
Mules seem to be the character’s shoe of choice for the movie. Earlier this week, the “Top Gun: Maverick” star was spotted filming “One Night Only” wearing a pair of black Paris Texas Lydia mules, which are a minimalist mule with a pin-thin heel. Mules are having quite a moment, with stars like Victoria Beckham, Kylie Jenner, Rosalía, Taraji P. Henson, Elle Fanning and more opting for the backless sandal style.
