Morgan Wallen’s ‘I’m the Problem’ Returns to No. 1; ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Gains Ground at No. 2

Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” is back at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, earning a ninth nonconsecutive week in the lead. After several new releases from Travis Scott, Justin Bieber and Tyler, The Creator detoured Wallen from keeping a consecutive No. 1 streak, the country record reassumes the top spot with 143,000 album units in the week ending July 31, according to Luminate.

The soundtrack to Netflix and Sony Pictures’ animated “KPop Demon Hunters” continues to gain ground on both the albums and singles chart, returning to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with a new peak of 93,000 units earned.

Meanwhile, the single “Golden,” by Huntr/x — the fictional band in the film comprised of vocalists Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami — holds at No. 2 with 29 million streams, and “Your Idol,” by Saja Boys — Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo and samUIL Lee — reaches the top 10 for the first time at No. 9. The success of both songs are driven largely by streams, with the latter earning 19 million.

New releases in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 this week range from Tomorrow X Together’s “The Star Chapter: Together” to YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s “Masa,” and Tyler Childers’ “Snipe Hunter.” The former collects its seventh top 10 effort with the No. 3 debut of “The Star Chapter,” earning 65,000 units in its first week. Album sales comprise 62,000 of that sum, with availability across 24 CD variants (all sold with collectible merchandise).

YoungBoy Never Broke Again lands his sweet 16th top 10 with the No. 6 entrance of “Masa” and a total of 49,000 units in its first week, with streaming numbers adding up to 9.15 million. Childers achieves his highest-charted album (and third top 10) with a No. 7 debut and 48,000 equivalent album units.

Filling out the remaining top 10 titles on the Billboard 200 are Tyler, the Creator’s “Don’t Tap the Glass,” which moves down to No. 4 in its second week on the list; Bieber’s “Swag” moves up to No. 5; “Alex Warren’s You’ll Be Alright, Kid” moves to No. 8; Jackboys and Travis Scott’s former No. 1 “Jackboys 2” moves to No. 9; and Ozzy Osbourne’s “The Essential Ozzy Osbourne” moves to No. 10.
