The stadium fell quiet, as the situation with Sanders appeared to be very serious. The good news is that the tight end was showing movement in his extremities, but the medical staff immediately placed him on a backboard to be carted off the field.

After Sanders was tackled, he flipped and landed directly on his head and neck. Naturally, the medical staff stepped in right away to ensure they could stabilize Sanders' head and neck following the tackle.
The game between the Panthers and Chiefs was then paused for around 10 minutes so that Sanders could get the care that he needs.
The good news is an additional video showcased Sanders being carted off the field, but the tight end also raised his arm to show that he is ok. The crowd erupted into cheers following his hand raise.
Sanders appears to have movement in his extremities, which is a great sign. Had he not, then the head injury could point to something very serious in terms of a spinal cord injury or worse.
Sanders will now likely undergo testing at the stadium and potentially be sent to a local hospital should the injury require far more extensive testing. Either way, the hope is that the Panthers' tight end did not suffer any sort of extensive damage to his head and or neck.
Sanders was drafted in the fourth round out of Texas. The Panthers selected him at No. 101 overall. During his time playing with the Longhorns, he secured 1,295 yards and seven touchdowns.
Sanders has started five games for the Panthers in his rookie season and has appeared in 10 overall. So far this season, he has secured 259 yards and one touchdown through those games. With 26 receptions, he is averaging 9.7 yards per catch on average.
Sanders has emerged as a solid and young tight end for the Panthers. Hopefully, he has not suffered any sort of extensive damage from landing on his head. More details will come out regarding the testing, and the young tight end will be given an injury update likely within a few hours.
