Parker Posey Extends Her Gold Roger Vivier Mule Run Across Back-to-Back L.A. Carpets
Parker Posey leaned again on Roger Vivier’s Trompette Metal Buckle Mules this weekend, repeating the metallic silhouette across consecutive red carpets in Los Angeles.

At the TV Academy’s inaugural Televerse Festival on Saturday, the “White Lotus” star anchored a black and gold jacquard suit with the gleaming mules. The slingback design is defined by its squared toe, sloped Trompette heel and oversized curved buckle — rendered here in full metallic gold leather.

One night later, at HBO Max’s Emmy Nominee Celebration in Hollywood, the same Vivier style resurfaced beneath a very different frame. Her gown — pink chiffon threaded with gold embroidery — skimmed the sandals, leaving the oversized buckle as the visible detail. She finished the look with layered pearls and a defined waistline.

The choice of repetition reads as intentional. Earlier this year, Posey reached for the exact same Trompette mules on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” paired then with a floral Loewe ensemble. Between late-night television, a festival carpet and an Emmy-season party, the shoes have become a quiet anchor in her rotation — versatile enough to slip between bohemian draping and metallic tailoring.

It’s not the only Vivier silhouette has been her throughline, either. In March, Posey stepped into the house’s crystal-embellished pumps at the Printemps opening in New York, their rhinestone buckles emphasizing the brand’s signature hardware. Whether satin or leather, covered in crystals or polished to a metallic finish, the Parisian label has supplied the majority of her footwear touchpoints this year.
For Posey, who has seen her “The White Lotus” character ignite a new wave of visibility, the Vivier selections function almost as a calling card. Where some actors toggle between a roster of houses during press tours, she has kept returning to the same silhouette family: squared toes, statement buckles and a balance of whimsy with structure.
