Reese Witherspoon Continues Her Slingback Streak With a Glossy Brown Pair in New York
Reese Witherspoon proved her slingback streak is more than a weekend fling, arriving in New York on Monday in a glossy brown pair.
The actress, producer and author wore pointed-toe slingback pumps in high-shine brown patent leather with a slim stiletto heel. The shape closely mirrors popular models from Gianvito Rossi — including the Robbie and other pointed slingback silhouettes, like the 95mm Sling suede pumps she wore over the weekend at the Hello Sunshine’s Shine Away Conference. The silhouette is a signature of the brand, defined by its pointed toe, adjustable buckle-fastening slingback strap and a heel that measures approximately 3.7 inches.

Witherspoon paired the pumps with a tonal outfit, layering a structured burgundy jacket over matching trousers and a simple top — keeping the same color palette from her weekend look.
Aside from this weekend’s back-to-back slingback turns, the silhouette has been a steady thread in Witherspoon’s recent style lineup. In September, she opted for black patent slingbacks while promoting Season Four of “The Morning Show” in New York. That pair featured a sharply cut vamp, a four-inch heel, and a glossy finish — similar to the ones she wore here.

And she’s not the only celebrity leaning into the silhouette. Tessa Thompson, Demi Lovato and Teyana Taylor have all worn pointed slingbacks in recent weeks. Saint Laurent’s Apolline and Vendome and Prada’s almond-toe styles, as seen on Caitlin Clark, have all appeared on recent red carpets and WNBA tunnels alike, reinforcing the slingback’s current dominance.
Witherspoon is currently promoting “Gone Before Goodbye,” her upcoming suspense novel cowritten with Harlan Coben. The book follows Maggie McCabe, a former combat surgeon who becomes involved in a conspiracy after losing her medical license. The novel is set to be released Tuesday.
