Rihanna Trades Her Go-to Snakeskin for Tiger Stripes in Alaïa D’Orsay Pumps for New York City Date Night

Rihanna traded her go-to snakeskin shoes for tiger print pumps.

The singer joined A$AP Rocky for Amazon Music Presents A$AP Rocky Songline Live on Sunday night, then kept the same look on for a late-night visit to El Puerto Seafood Restaurant in Harlem in the early hours of Monday, adding Alaïa’s tiger print D’Orsay pumps to a busy “Don’t Be Dumb” release weekend.

The heels, Alaïa’s tiger print calf-hair D’Orsay pump style, were cut in a sharp pointed-toe silhouette. The uppers featured diagonal brown and black stripes on a camel-hued base, wrapping around the sides of the foot and heel counter. A thin ankle strap in matching printed haircalf fastened with a small buckle, while a lacquered 90 mm stiletto finished the profile. The Italian-made style, which is listed as new on the maison’s website, retails for $1,850 on Alaïa’s site and through select retailers.

Rihanna paired the pumps with double denim, starting with a paneled Saint Laurent denim jacket in a mid-blue wash. She added a plush cream sweater with a high, looped neckline underneath. Straight-leg blue jeans in a similar wash fell over the tops of the pumps, leaving the tiger stripes visible at the toe. As for accessories, the Fenty founder carried a limited edition Louis Vuitton Mink Mini Papillon bag and wore oversized brown Saint Laurent 901 Howl sunglasses.

Rocky coordinated in his own layered look. He wore a Bape ABC Camo down jacket from fall 2025 over an olive hoodie and T-shirt, styling the pieces with faded, relaxed jeans. On his feet, he chose Timberland’s dark brown nubuck Waterproof Field Boots, adding another boot to the couple’s recent New York footwear run.

The tiger swap landed after a 2025 year where Rihanna treated snakeskin like a repeatable neutral. In February, Amina Muaddi’s snake-print Barbara boot turned into a recurring court choice during A$AP Rocky’s Los Angeles trial. In August, she opted for Jimmy Choo’s Romy pumps in a python-embossed finish with wide-leg jeans.
