TCU Horned Frogs wide receiver Jack Bech has been named MVP of the Senior Bowl and he is crediting his brother Tiger, who died in the January 1 New Orleans terror attack for the assist.

Bech earned MVP honors at the 2025 Senior Bowl, capping off an emotional and inspiring performance just a month after the tragic loss of his older brother, Tiger.
Bech, who wore his brother’s No. 7 during the game, caught the game-winning 2-yard touchdown pass with just seven seconds remaining, leading the American Team to a 22-19 victory over the National Team in Mobile, Alabama.
Tiger Bech, a former All-Ivy League kick returner for Princeton, was among the victims killed in a terror attack in New Orleans’ French Quarter on New Year’s Day.

In his post-game interview with NFL Network, Bech dedicated his performance to his late brother, saying, “My brother has some wings on me. He gave them to me, and he let that all take place. My Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Tiger. Nothing else but them. They’re the reason I did what I did today. I attribute it all to them.”
The Senior Bowl was a pivotal moment for Bech to showcase his skills ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, but the experience was also deeply personal.
Bech reflected on his emotional journey, explaining, “It’s been surreal just to be able to come and take place in this game. It’s a goal that you set for yourself. But if I had the option that if I came here, had the worst week ever, ruined my draft stock and that means I could give my brother a hug right now, you know I would take that.”
He added, “On the flip side, I don’t think I could have had the week I had if all that didn’t happen.”
During the game, Bech recorded six receptions for 68 yards, showcasing his abilities in front of NFL scouts, coaches, and executives.
His performance not only boosted his draft prospects but also served as a poignant tribute to his late brother.
Bech’s standout performance at the Senior Bowl follows a remarkable 2024 season at TCU, where he recorded 62 catches for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns. As he now looks ahead to the NFL Draft, Bech’s strength, both on and off the field, has made a lasting impact—one that goes beyond football.
