Skechers Signs WNBA’s Star Jackie Young, Expands Basketball Lineup With Custom SKX Nexus Sneakers
Skechers has added WNBA All-Star Jackie Young to its growing basketball roster, launching the partnership just ahead of the 2025 All-Star Weekend in Indiana. The Las Vegas Aces guard will debut a custom Player’s Edition of the SKX Nexus sneaker during the midseason showcase, marking her first on-court appearance as a Skechers athlete.

“Joining the Skechers family feels like the perfect fit for me,” said Young. “Not only does Skechers truly support its athletes and share my passion for giving back and helping to advance women’s sports, but their basketball shoes are also incredibly comfortable. The SKX Nexus gives me the confidence I need to perform at my best, and I can’t wait to step out in them at All-Star Weekend and continue to represent the brand on the court for the rest of the season.”

Her Player Edition of the SKX Nexus features a mismatched colorway with layered personal touches. Each shoe highlights a chapter in her journey: the phrase “Just a kid from Princeton,” the numbers 3 and 5 on each heel to represent her jersey numbers in high school and college, and a callout to the 2018 National Championship she won with Notre Dame. Her high school scoring record, 3,268 points, is also featured across the design.
The SKX Nexus is a low-top performance sneaker engineered for speed, support and responsiveness. It features Skechers Move Foam, a breathable mesh upper, heel lockdown support and Goodyear rubber with a torsion plate for enhanced traction. Young will wear the silhouette for the remainder of the WNBA season.

In celebration of her homecoming, Skechers unveiled a mural of Young at the Toyota Indiana YMCA in Princeton. The event included a youth basketball clinic led by Young, where local students received pairs of the SKX Nexus. Her brother and sister, both coaches at Princeton Community Schools, were also in attendance.
While the SKX Nexus x Jackie Young ASW Player Edition is not available to the public, fans can shop the standard SKX Nexus at skechers.com and select Skechers retail locations.
