Storm Team 2 monitors the tropics as warm weekend approaches
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – As the Lowcountry enjoys a warm weekend with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s, Storm Team 2 is also closely monitoring potential tropical development in the coming week.
Storm Team 2 is keeping an eye on potential tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico. While there’s no immediate threat, the system has a higher chance of organizing, and Storm Team 2 will keep you updated on any developments.
Additionally, Hurricanes Kirk and Leslie remain active in the Atlantic, though neither poses a current risk to the Lowcountry.
For Saturday, Meteorologist Grace Lowe forecasts partly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-80s to upper 70s, making for a warm and pleasant day.
Tonight, temperatures will dip into the upper 60s and lower 70s, with a chance of stray showers.
Overall, the weekend forecast looks promising, with a mix of clouds and warm temperatures.
