‘The Kardashians’ Corey Gamble Is the Definition of a Soft Life

For her opening monologue at Saturday Night Live, Kim Kardashian left no family members off her roast list. But, arguably, the best joke the team she hired to help her write were able to come up with took aim at her mother’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble. Observing that one thing in life she is proud of is that no one can accuse her of being a gold digger, Kim then claimed to have no idea how to even become one, before stating, “So I asked my mom’s boyfriend Corey.” Corey took the joke in stride and applauded from the side lines, which seems to be part of his work within his girlfriend’s corporate family.

Corey managed to book himself into the softest life in entertainment when he met Kris Jenner at a birthday party in Ibiza in 2014, hosted by Kim’s husband at the time, Kanye West. Kris recalled on an early episode of The Kardashians that the pair took a trip to Paris together early in the relationship, and the romantic city was where they officially started dating. The following year, Corey began appearing on the family’s series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and has been a quiet presence by Kris’ side ever since. As the relationship has deepened, and the couple’s connection grown in strength, it’s clear that Corey has landed himself the softest life in entertainment.

How Has Corey Meshed With the Kardashian Family?

The Atlanta native was Justin Bieber’s tour manager when he first met Kris. The world’s favorite momager was in the middle of her divorce from Caitlyn Jenner at the time, and seems to have grown accustomed to the laid-back energy that Corey brought to this stressful time in her life. Ever since the pair matched up, they have been living the jet-set lifestyle the famous family is known for.

Corey has been a quiet presence in the family, cultivating an air of mystery while always supporting Kris, and more often than not being far outside the family drama. The loud luxury that goes along with living the Kardashian lifestyle is a nice counter-balance to Corey’s laid-back demeanor. The soft life Corey has been living in recent years didn’t necessarily come with a smoothly paved road. When Kim was in the middle of dealing with the trauma that came from the robbery in Paris in 2016, Corey volunteered to help coordinate the family’s security team, taking charge of ensuring the family members had peace of mind during this stressful period. Things got significantly more heightened for Corey when he got involved in the drama that arose between Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner on the family’s trip to Palm Springs in 2020. When Kylie stole the outfit Kendall wanted to wear for the evening, the two sisters got into a squabble in the SUV on the way to the event. Corey got involved to break the fight up, and Kendall was offended, thinking that he had prioritized Kylie in the dispute, considering she was known to be his favorite in the family. The fallout from this little squabble lasted until the family trip to Cabo in 2023, when Kendall and Corey managed to spend some time poolside together and lay the tension between them to rest.

What Does Corey Have Going On Lately?

Although in 2018, Kris was quoted saying she didn’t need to wear a white dress and walk down the aisle ever again, her daughter Khloé Kardashian hinted in the most recent season of The Kardashians that her mom might become a “70-year-old bride.” And it’s little wonder if in the intervening years since 2018 Kris has changed her mind about walking down the aisle, considering the effect Corey has had on her life. Kris told WSJ Magazine in 2021, that Corey has been both her “sounding board” and a “suppport system” for her and her children.

More than simply a support system, Corey has also expanded into his own business side-hustle as well. Over his years with the fashionable family, Gamble’s personal style has remained remarkably consistent. And his penchant for a matching silk shirt set scored him a major collaboration with high-end fashion retailer, Dolce & Gabbana in 2023. When it comes to the level of access and affluence the Kardashian lifestyle has enabled, Corey’s life since taking up with Kris is as soft as the silk shirts he wraps himself up.
