The 'One Piece' Season 2 Trailer Is Finally Here — And It Looks Great
This weekend marks One Piece Day, which is taking place in Japan in order to celebrate the legacy of the franchise created by Eiichiro Oda. Since fans haven't been getting a lot of good news about the live-action series this year, Netflix decided to finally throw us a bone and unveil the highly anticipated trailer for Season 2 of the series. It officially confirms the series is finally returning in 2026. However, from the looks of it, the new episodes will be worth the wait.
There's no other way to put it: the Season 2 trailer of One Piece looks great. If back in 2023 fans could celebrate the fact that their favorite anime and manga series got a highly imaginative adaptation with exceptional attention to detail, this time it looks like Netflix is doubling down on everything that worked the first time around. It's practically impossible not to get excited for the Grand Line arc after the events teased in the new season's trailer.
The trailer also teases the arrival of some — but certainly not all — of the new characters that will be introduced in the new batch of episodes. We meet the giant Brogy (Brendan Murray) coming face-to-face with Nami (Emily Rudd); Smoker (Callum Kerr) looking gorgeous with his two cigars; Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran) with full main character energy; and Miss All Sunday (Lera Abova) making a heck of an entrance. The season will also feature several notable cast members, including Joe Manganiello (True Blood) as Mr. 0, David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) as Mr. 3, and Rico Sanchez (Outer Banks) as Dragon, among many others. The trailer also officially confirms that the show has been renewed for Season 3 and is in active development.
'One Piece' Season 2 Looks Bigger and Better
Recently, Dastmalchian underscored the sensation of the massive event that the series has become by revealing what he felt during filming in Cape Town. He stated that the "world that they created and we shot down in South Africa was just so incredible" and teased that he was "really excited for people to see." Well, now we've seen a bit of it, and we want more. Back in June, Netflix provided a sneak peek of one of the most anticipated arrivals from Season 2: Tony Tony Chopper, who will be brought to life by Mikaela Hoover (Superman). The character was singled out because he eventually joins the Straw Hats and becomes an important member of the group, so fans have been waiting for his introduction for a while.
Netflix debuts Season 2 of One Piece in 2026. A specific release window is yet to be announced. You can check out the trailer above.
