‘The Rip’ Debuts With 41.6 Million Views in Three Days on Netflix

The Rip,” Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s new action movie, debuted with 41.6 million views in its first three days on Netflix. That marks the streamer’s biggest film opening since “Happy Gilmore 2” hit 46.7 million views in July — and easily made the film the most-watched title on Netflix during the week of Jan. 12-19.

On the TV chart, “His & Hers” remained at No. 1 with 29.5 million views, a huge leap from its debut with 19.9 million views the week before, which was already enough to reach the top spot.
