The Shark and Guy Harvey Partner on Marine Wildlife Capsule
Greg Norman has long been known as the “Great White Shark,” a nickname he acquired for his aggressive style of golf, his blond hair and his Australian heritage.
Now the apparel brand he founded, the Greg Norman Collection, is teaming with marine wildlife artist, scientist and conservationist Dr. Guy Harvey on a limited-edition collection inspired by their shared love of sharks.
The GNC x Guy Harvey collection will initially feature colorful golf polos and casual beachwear. A second collection will drop on Feb. 1. All told, the capsule will feature 19 polos, T-shirts, hoodies and swimwear pieces.
“When we look at those who love our Shark, we see those who also appreciate Guy Harvey’s work and his commitment to ocean life,” said Michael J. Setola, president and chief executive officer of Tharanco Lifestyles, which owns the Greg Norman Collection brand. “If you enjoy any time at the beach, Guy Harvey’s artwork is a part of the lifestyle, and sometimes, the landscape. You can’t help but be drawn into the details and the passion he puts into every piece of his art.”
“This collaboration brings together art, performance and purpose in a way that celebrates the lifestyle we all love and one of my favorite species — sharks,” added Harvey. “This collection isn’t just about apparel; it’s about inspiring people to enjoy, respect and protect the natural world.”
The collection will be sold at select golf shops as well as on the Greg Norman e-commerce site. Polos, hoodies and a button-down shirt retail for $79.50, a long-sleeve T is $49.50 and a short-sleeve T is $39.50. A portion of the proceeds from the partnership will benefit ocean conservation education and research through the Guy Harvey Foundation.
