This Rare Nike Foamposite Sneaker Is Returning for the First Time Ever
After leaks surfaced of an all-black Nike Air Foamposite Pro retro slated for 2026, newly clarified details have emerged which point to a different yet similar colorway receiving the reissue treatment instead.
Per @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Market Romania, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro will be rereleased in its original “Voltage” style for the first time ever. With a full colorway of Black/Voltage Yellow, the mostly black look gets its nickname from the electrifying yellow shade used for its large Swoosh adornment and accent colors. The sneaker was part of the Air Foamposite Pro’s 1997 introduction but has never been reissued in its original form — until now.
One of four original Air Foamposite Pros from ’97, the Voltage pair was released the same year as the Pearl style (which is also set for a reissue), the triple black Black/Black/White and a metallic-accented Black/Black/White/Metallic Silver. At this point, it doesn’t appear that the original triple black pair will be returning in ’26.

While the ’26 plans are still being solidified, there are several noteworthy Air Foamposite Pros still to come this year. Expected to arrive in November is the aforementioned Pearl colorway, which was previewed during Nike’s SNKRS Showcase stream in July. Also shared during the event was the upcoming Pine Green style, which returns for the first time since its 2011 debut.
Nike’s futuristic Foamposite technology was introduced in ’97 and remains relevant today, particularly in the lifestyle footwear space. The technology uses a heated and molded polyurethane liquid which acts as a durable outer shell, encompassing the foot and allowing for a variety of graphic and texture treatments across its upper. The brand’s most popular iteration of the technology is the Air Foamposite One, a sneaker made famous on the basketball court by former NBA great Penny Hardaway. Today, the Foamposite franchise is still popular and continues to influence other brands.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Voltage is expected to be released during June ’26 with a style code of HF0794-002. Retail pricing has not been confirmed, but readers can anticipate availability from Nike’s SNKRS e-commerce platform and select Nike Sportswear retailers. The original version appears below.
