Tracy Morgan Football Comedy ‘Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’ Sets Early NBC Premiere After Rams-Bears Game
Tracy Morgan‘s football comedy “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” will hit the field earlier than expected.
The new NBC series will air its first episode on Sunday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. PT or immediately following the NFL playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears.
The series will then return on its previously announced premiere date, Feb. 23, with an encore of the pilot at 8 p.m. and then one new episode immediately following at 8:30 p.m. Starting the next week, on March 2, the show will continue its run in the 8:30 p.m. timeslot. Episodes will stream the following day on Peacock.
“The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” stars Morgan as a disgraced former football star on a mission to rehabilitate his image with acclaimed filmmaker Arthur Tobin (played by Daniel Radcliffe). On his climb back to greatness, Reggie is forced to confront the ghosts of his past.
The cast also includes Erika Alexander as Monica — Reggie’s ex-wife, agent and business manager — plus Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way and Jalyn Hall. And the series reunites Morgan with “30 Rock” creator Tina Fey, who serves as an executive producer on “Reggie Dinkins.” Robert Carlock and Sam Means are the co-showrunners and writers, and they executive produce alongside Morgan, Eric Gurian and David Miner.
“The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, Little Stranger, Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment, Bevel Gears, Means End Productions and Streetlife Productions, Inc.
