Two injured by drone attack on southern Israeli port city of Eilat
Two drones were launched toward the southern Israeli port city of Eilat on Wednesday night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
One of the drones was intercepted while the other hit the port area and exploded, injuring two people and sparking a fire, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said.
Hagari did not comment on reports that the drones had been launched by pro-Iranian militias in Iraq.
Since the beginning of the Gaza war almost a year ago, there have been repeated attacks by Iran's allies in the so-called "Axis of Resistance" against Israel. These include militias in Iraq and the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
