Winnie Harlow Takes the Slouchy Boot Trend Courtside at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks Game
Winnie Harlow didn’t miss the chance to turn a courtside seat into a style moment on Friday night. The model and activist showed up to the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks game in a pair of over-the-knee boots that brought the slouchy boot trend straight onto the Crypto.com Arena floor.
Her boots, crafted in a deep brown leather with a smooth finish, cut high on the leg with a straight topline that hit a few inches above the knee. The shaft didn’t hold a stiff shape; instead, it settled into loose folds from the knee down, stacking naturally as she moved. At the bottom, the boots opened into a rounded square toe and sat on a thick black rubber sole with a flat platform, defined edges and visible tread. The combination gave the style a heavier base and a clear contrast between the upper and the outsole.

The shape echoes parts of The Attico’s “Robin” family — especially the soft, collapsing shaft — but Harlow’s pair separates itself in a few key places. Many “Robin” styles use a pointed toe or a slimmer leather sole, and the heeled versions have a sharper profile overall. The flat Robin knee-high options do share the pull-on construction and the square-toe silhouette, though they typically stop below the knee. Harlow’s boots carry the same slouch but add height past the knee and sit on a noticeably chunkier rubber platform.
She paired the boots with a brown leather micro-skirt cut in sharp pleats. Up top, she went casual in a grey Los Angeles Lakers sweatshirt printed with the team’s colors. She carried a brown leather bag in a similar shade to her boots, rounding out the courtside look with a few simple accessories.

The outing comes during a busy year for the model, as she and Milwaukee Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma announced their engagement in February 2025.
Statement footwear has been a through-line in Harlow’s recent public looks. In October, she stepped out in transparent Gianvito Rossi pumps with mirrored detailing, and earlier this summer, she wore mirrored gold stilettos for a “Today” show appearance. Slouchy boots, meanwhile, have been circling back into celebrity rotation. Recent examples include Suki Waterhouse’s brown leather pair in New York, Julianne Hough’s knee-high version on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” and Shakira’s collapsed-shaft boots with a concealed wedge at Global Citizen Festival.
