YouTube Duo Rhett & Link Sign With CAA After Leaving WME
CAA has signed Rhett & Link and their media and production company Mythical for representation. The duo, who are childhood friends, have hosted the popular YouTube series “Good Mythical Morning” for 14 years, making it the longest-running talk show on the internet.
Rhett McLaughlin, Link Neal and Mythical were previously repped by WME.
Mythical, which has more than 100 full-time employees in Burbank, California, is entirely independent and self-financed by Neal and McLaughlin. Their Mythical Ventures fund has invested in up-and-comping creators and businesses, including Hot Ones and Smosh.
Mythical operates YouTube channels with some 34 million subscribers and 14 billion lifetime views, as well as a combined following on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snap, and Twitter exceeding 26 million, according to the company. “Good Mythical Morning” (“GMM” to fans) is nearing 3,000 episodes serving a variety of comedy, variety, culinary, and game-show segments. Spinoff series “Mythical Kitchen” now has 4 million subscribers and the company’s show “Last Meals” stars Mythical Chef Josh Scherer.
Natives of North Carolina, Rhett & Link met in first-grade detention “after writing profanities on their desks” and later performed comedic sketches in grade school, according to their official bio.
