Accent attempted: East Texan

"Oh my god, Young Sheldon. They supposedly based the show in 'East Texas,' but most of the actors butchered the accent. East Texans (especially from older generations, like this family was supposed to be) can have a slightly different accent than the rest of texas (maybe a Lousiana influence since we share a border). They sounded more Appalachian South than any kind of Texan.

They also showed mountains in the background, and desert landscaping, despite the fact that East Texas is known for massive pine forests and swamps (Lousiana border, remember?). Seriously, it's the Piney Woods of East Texas, and y'all show a freaking desert? With that Appalachian accent? I don't even like my hometown, but I was offended regardless."
