“I’ve always hated that about The Holiday, too. Those girls are way too young to have their own phones.

Also, the whole Arthur big fancy event subplot…the entire movie takes place within two weeks. Iris finds a letter about ‘An Evening with Arthur Abbott’ and says, ‘They want to do this soon.’ Not ‘hey, this thing is scheduled for next week.’ The way she says it implies it has not yet been scheduled. So what, Iris calls them to say he’ll do it and then the organizers find a space, send out invitations (during Christmas, remember) and get the whole thing up and running for a PACKED HOUSE in like five days? I love that movie, but damn, it’s dumb.”
