Radio.com, Mark Cuban’s Fireside Acquired by Consumable as Ad Tech Company Plans New Streamer for ‘AI-Driven, Creator-First Media Landscape’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Radio.com and Mark Cuban’s interactive creator operating platform Fireside platform have been acquired by ad tech company Consumable Inc., which has plans to develop “a next-generation streaming platform designed for an AI-driven, creator-first media landscape.”

The Radio.com and Fireside acquisition by Consumable, financial details of which were not disclosed, will see the combined assets become the foundation of a new platform under the Radio.com name with Fireside integrated to help “artists and creators expand monetization, deepen audience relationships and ownership, and build durable, full-stack businesses across content formats.”

Additionally, Consumable has launched Digital Indies, described as a new micro PE venture studio led by general partners Mark Levin and Fireside’s Falon Fatemi. Per Consumable, “Digital Indies is focused on investing, acquiring, and building creator-first platforms and infrastructure at a time when AI is rapidly commoditizing technology and shifting competitive advantage toward distribution, trust, and direct audience relationships.”

Under Consumable ownership, Radio.com is forming a multi-million-dollar artist partnership fund that will provide indie musicians with “immediate liquidity while allowing them to retain ownership of their touring and merchandise revenue.”

Additional details around platform development, partnerships, and investments will be announced in the coming months.

“In an AI-first world, distribution is the advantage,” Levin said “Through our partnership with Consumable, we’re able to give our portfolio companies a meaningful head start by pairing creator-first platforms with scaled audience reach.”
