Adidas and Pharrell Will Release Their Latest Jellyfish Sneaker in Las Vegas This Weekend
Adidas Originals and Pharrell Williams are set to launch the latest iteration of their hit Virginia Adistar Jellyfish sneaker this weekend, FN has learned.
The ultra-chunky model, which is based on the Adistar Cushion 3 running shoe from 2005, features a sculptural midsole inspired by the fluid shape of a jellyfish. This detail coupled with a layered mesh and exoskeletal accents on the upper bring added structure and depth.
Also reflected in the shoe itself, “Jellyfish” and “Virginia” detailing on the tongue and insole carry Williams’ vision, “where Virginia exists as a mindset, not just on a map,” the company noted.
Reimagined through Williams’ creative perspective, the silhouette is now going to be released in Blue tomorrow following the global sold-out releases of the Orange, Green, and Gray colorways earlier this year.
This news arrives after an “Imported From Virginia” delivery truck was spotted around Las Vegas this weekend – driven by hip-hop duo Clipse – a manifestation of Williams’ Virginia creative world and its mission to share the home state’s culture beyond its borders.

As the latest original model from Williams‘ long-running partnership with Adidas, the Jellyfish had been eagerly anticipated for much of the year after first popping up in Paris Fashion Week in January. A much thicker sole has been added to the 2000s runner, and the upper maintains the lines of its source material but articulates them in more dramatic fashion through protruding TPU paneling.
Retailing for $300, the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish by Pharrell Williams will be available in blue exclusively at Adidas Brand Center, located at 3747 South Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas, starting Oct. 26.
