‘Fire Country’ Spinoff ‘Sheriff Country’ Casts ‘CSI: Vegas’ Star Matt Lauria

Matt Lauria has joined the cast of “Sheriff Country,” CBS‘ upcoming spinoff of “Fire Country.”

He will star opposite Morena Baccarin, who was previously announced to be leading the series when CBS greenlit it last May. Per the official logline, “Sheriff Country” will follow “straight-shooting sheriff Mickey Fox (Baccarin), the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone (Diane Farr of ‘Fire Country’), who investigates criminal activity as she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater while contending with her ex-con father (W. Earl Brown) and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter.”
