Nike and Lego’s Collaboration on This Classic Sneaker Comes With Customizable Shoelaces
When the debut collaboration between Lego and Nike was revealed in May, a singular look at the project’s Dunk Low collaboration was included and now, a detailed look at the sneaker is available.
With the first Lego x Nike product, a Lego set fashioned after the Nike Dunk High, set to arrive Tuesday, it’s perfect timing for a closer examination of the project’s Dunk Low sneaker. According to a Nike press release, the design of the Dunk Low and the collection’s Air Max Dn were inspired by Lego’s design aesthetic combined with the sportswear brand’s “power of sport culture and DNA.”
What that translates to on the Dunk Low silhouette is a white patent leather upper with cartoon-like black borders. Clever co-branding is displayed on the heel, which replaces Nike’s usual Air text with a Lego brick atop the Swoosh logo. Lego’s mark appears in red on both the tongue and the insole and the sneaker comes packaged with four different shoelaces options.

The Dunk Low pictured here will be the last to release of the Lego x Nike product announced thus far. The 1,180-piece Dunk High Lego set ($100) will be released Tuesday, with more Lego set announcements coming later this year. That will be followed by the first Nike footwear, a yellow Air Max Dn, on Aug. 1. The Dunk Low will then be released on Sept. 1.
“At Nike, we are dedicated to fueling the potential of kids through play,” Cal Dowers, Nike vice president of global bids, said in a May press release. “Activating the full power of Nike — from athletes to our communities — helps us engage and inspire kids to experience the enjoyment of sport as a lifelong pursuit.”
It should be noted that the Lego x Nike Dunk Low will be released in grade school sizing. The collaboration has a style code of IF2117-100 and its full colorway is Sail/Black/Rush Red. It’s expected to have a retail price of $120.
All products from the collections will be available from nike.com and select Nike retail partners. The Lego sets will be sold from lego.com/nike and Lego stores.
