Nordstrom Highlights Some of Adidas’ Most Popular Sneakers in Latest ‘Make Room for Shoes’ Campaign
Nordstrom just teamed up with Adidas for the latest edition of its “Make Room for Shoes” program, and it’s already making waves.
The department store, which went private this year, joined forces with the athletic brand for a month-long event that gives Nordstrom customers access to a limited-edition capsule collection of footwear.
The exclusive Adidas shoe collection features five exclusive women’s colorways and two exclusive men’s colorways across some of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes – the Samba, Gazelle, Spezial, and München. Prices range from $60 to $150 and are available at select Nordstrom stores and on Nordstrom.com through Aug. 31.
Tacey Powers, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for shoes at Nordstrom, told FN that the company is excited to collaborate with Adidas on its latest Make Room for Shoes campaign, which blends fashion, function and heritage.
“Through ‘Three Stripes, Endless Stories,’ we’re honoring the legacy of iconic silhouettes like the Samba, Gazelle, Spezial and München, reimagined in exclusive colorways for Nordstrom customers,” Powers said.

First announced in February 2024, the “Make Room for Shoes” initiative comes to life through monthly partnerships with some of the industry’s top footwear brands. So far, the retailer has highlighted brands such as On, Birkenstock, Sam Edelman, Larroudé, Dolce Vita, Reformation, Tory Burch, Sperry, Ugg and Vionic.
This latest edition of “Make Room for Shoes” comes after Nordstrom said last year that its focus on its footwear roots is paying off.
On one of the company’s last earnings calls before going private, Pete Nordstrom, president of the Seattle-based department store chain, told analysts in November that its “Make Room for Shoes” campaign was one of the contributors to its growth in the period.
This launch also comes in tandem with Nordstrom’s newest guest at its New York flagship store’s The Corner shop. On Thursday, Nike Running opened a month-long pop-up inside Nordstrom NYC to highlight its Pegasus, Vomero and Structure shoe models, as well as select women’s running apparel and accessories.
