Season 2 of “Presumed Innocent” has cast Ji-young Yoo in a recurring role.

She joins previously announced stars Rachel Brosnahan, Matthew Rhys, Courtney B. Vance, Fiona Shaw, Jack Reynor, John Magaro, Michael Hsu Rosen and Lesley-Ann Brandt.

Ji-young recently voiced the role of Zoe in the hit Netflix film “KPop Demon Hunters.” Her previous credits include the films “Moxie,” “Smoking Tigers,” “Freaky Tales” and “Until Dawn” as well as the Amazon Prime Video series “Expats.” She is repped by Gersh Agency, Entertainment 360, Viewpoint and Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein et al.

“Presumed Innocent” premiered on Apple TV in 2024 and starred Jake Gyllenhaal in an adaptation of Scott Turow’s novel of the same name. Season 2 is based on Jo Murray’s forthcoming novel “Dissection of a Murder,” set for publication in May. Though Apple has not released a logline for Season 2 yet, the book’s official description from publisher Macmillan reads, “When Leila Reynolds is handed her first murder case, she’s shocked at how high-profile it is: the murder of a well-respected, well-known judge. This shouldn’t be the kind of case she’s leading; it’s way beyond her expertise. But the defendant, Jack Millman, is clear. He wants her, and only her.” Brosnahan will play Leila Reynolds.

David E. Kelley developed “Presumed Innocent” for television and serves as co-showrunner with Erica Lipez. Executive producers of Season 2 include Kelley and Matthew Tinker via David E. Kelley Productions; Lipez; Brosnahan and Dustin Thomas; Gyllenhaal via Nine Stories; and J.J. Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich via Bad Robot Productions. Turow co-executive produces. Warner Bros. Television is the studio.
