"Should I Be Proud Or Embarrassed?": 20 Cultural Moments That Have Defined The 2020s (So Far)
I know it’s kind of basic to bring up a social media platform, but come on — TikTok is the 2020s. You can’t talk about one without the other. Between lockdown boredom, dance challenges, and people oversharing the most random moments of their lives, TikTok absolutely exploded. And I can't even be mad about it.
I tried to resist for as long as possible — I didn’t need another app to rot my brain. But now, it’s 100% my main social. I even have a designated “bed rot” window every few days. Imagine me: 30-minute timer (because I’m pretending to be an adult), cat on my belly, phone above my head, veggie platter nearby (again...because I'm pretending to be an adult), and just endless, mindless scrolling. It's pure 2020s bliss.
