“You” Fans Have Admitted To Missing An Important Bit Of Subtext That Makes Joe Even More Terrifying

“The show is basically from his perspective, so it makes total sense that we aren't shown him explicitly doing this to women. Because he would justify it forever and never see himself as a rapist,” another echoed.

“I feel like it’s implied he does it when they’re in the cage,” somebody else wrote, with others making specific reference to Delilah, who featured in Season 2.

It was also pointed out that in the books, Joe does explicitly rape the women, with the OP also writing: “The implication, from my perspective at least, is that he’s doing it while he has them in the cage. This is something explicitly stated (and unfortunately described) in the book.”

“Some people clearly haven’t read the books and don’t know what he did to Beck…😳” a comment with 15k likes adds.

“and his ‘reality’ is so distorted that we can't even trust any scenes that appear consensual!! people really should read the books because he's MUCH more sickening and the show implies a lot of it,” another user pointed out.
